This recipe is great for a family dinner or serve on slider rolls for a potluck meal or appetizer.
  • 3 to 4 Lb pork shoulder roast
  • 1 Tbsp chili powder
  • ½ Tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 cup bbq sauce (Sweet Baby Ray's)
  • Sandwich or slider rolls
  1. Mix together dry spices
  2. Rub spice mixture over the pork roast
  3. Place roast in slow cooker
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6 to 7 hours
  5. Remove roast from the slow cooker and pull meat apart using two forks
  6. While shredding remove any fat or bones from the meat
  7. Pour juices out of the slow cooker and skim off the fat
  8. Add one cup of cooking juices back to the slow cooker along with the bbq sauce
  9. Mix the roast into the sauce
  10. Cover and heat on low until heated through half an hour to an hour.
  11. Serve on sandwich rolls
